This time i thought i would share with you my rubbish! In the best possible way with a review of the products i have finished up over the past few weeks. There is some products i purchase over and over again, there is also some new products too.

So from Left to Right in the photo……..

1. Jurlique balancing foaming cleanser, this is a face cleanser i purchase over and over again. It was the first product i ever starting using daily from Jurlique. Its a prefect match for my oily skin and helps maintain and balance the oil while the calendula keeps my skin calm and protected. Would i repurchase: YES

2. Jurlique Lavender  body oil, I received this body oil a long time ago as a gift for my birthday i think. a body oil is something i would never go out and buy, i just dont think about them. So the body oil stayed packed away and i didnt use it for months, until i was going though my mini department store (my walk in wardrobe, seriously it looks like a mini cosmetics store) and i found it again. I started to use it nightly on my arms and legs before bed as at that time i was working very long days and needed help to unwind before bed. It did the trick alright. sent me off to sleep like a baby from the lovely smell of lavender and my body felt so soft and smooth the next morning from using it. I started using it in the bath as well for a little extra treat and keep my body soft and smooth while bathing.

So would i repurchase: NOT SURE, purely cause I’m not a body oil guy, then again i enjoyed using it. so i’m not sure.

3. Clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief, this is a cult product that i got onto during my days working as cabin crew with Qantas. Flying so much around Australia and the world my skin was drying out badly in the cabin. So i tuned into galley FM or galley gossip to ask my fellow crew what moisturiser does everyone use while flying and this one came back with top recommendation.

Now that im no longer flying i don’t get though them as quick as i use to nor do i use it as my daily moisturiser.  I only use this during times my skin calls SOS and needs a big drink of moisture. I buy this cream from Clinique once a year at christmas in a pack. they offer great value for this moisture surge pack, its normally priced at the same price as the moisturiser  itself but comes with extra products like mini eye creams and sprays.

So would i repurchase: ONLY AT CHRISTMAS

4. Philosophy total matteness, OH MY!! i can not rave more highly of this product. I am no stranger to the philosophy product range, i LOVE the shower gels. So when this product came out only a few months ago i had to try it. Always looking for a way to control my oil and large pores.

This product is amazing and works!! it does for me. I use it as a primer under my foundation. Keeps my foundation in place all day and shine free. All of a sudden foundations and BB creams i could no longer wear cause  of being to oily i can now wear and not fear that by lunch time i look like a BP oil rig. I’ve tried matte primers and all, they work well but this product works WONDERS!!!

So would i repurchase: YES.

5. Lancome Advance Genifique, little sample size i was given. Genifique and Visionnaire was my power couple i loved using together over the past few years. This product is marketed as a serum but i have always used this as a pre serum.

I love this product and i saw results with using it when i did. Maybe next time Lancome is in gift with purchase.

So would i buy full size: MAYBE

6. Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair, another little sample sized bottle i was given. Estee lauder has recently upgraded this serum to replace the old advance night repair, this serum works with your skins DNA to help repair and turnover skin cells. They say its like sleep in a bottle for when your skin doesn’t get enough rest. I would have to agree with this statement as i used this sample on a recent world wind trip away with little or no sleep at times, i did notice my skin looked fresh and awake even when i didn’t feel fresh and awake.  So sleep in a bottle? maybe!!!

So would i buy full sized: YES

7. SK-II Facial Treatment essence, once again this is another one of my cult following products when i was flying, use to love buying it duty free as it was cheap in duty free and then crew discount on top of that. I stopped using this product after flying. Has this little sample sparked my long lost love for SK-II again??

Would i repurchase? YES!!!!!!!!!

Foundation primer lovers the wait is finally over for USA Clinique lovers. I have been wishing and hoping for so many years now that Clinique would release a make up primer.

Clinique foundations where the very first foundation I started using over 10 years ago and it was love at first use. I now own the entire collection of Clinique’s foundations (on top of my already 25 plus foundations, yes i admit I’m a foundation junkie) so I’m very excited to hear this news from Clinique and best of all, not only did they came out with one universal face primer, like everyone else does, but a further five shades to help smooth and correct. Do i need all six shades? NO, but i want them.

MEN’S MONDAY MOMENT!

Hi Guys,

Back again with this week’s MENS MONDAY MOMENT post. This week I am pointing the finger at all the guys out there with oily skin and large pores.

Last Christmas, I received the Lush Dark Angel’s face cleanser in a deluxe pack, along with some other goodies. This product is marketed as an exfoliating cleanser, for me personally I wouldn’t be using it as a daily cleanser as the mess it makes in your shower from the charcoal. (My partner has a cleaning addiction so I have to use it sparingly!)

So my Men’s Monday weekly tip for you guys is…. Use it as a mask.

I love using this product once a week or whenever my skin needs it. Apply a thick layer all over your face avoiding the eye area, if you need help with it smoothing out over your face, add one or two drops of water to your hands to help it and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. I always leave it on for longer if i can. Then wash it off, now you’re going to need a face wash cloth or something to help scrub off the charcoal so you don’t look like you have just cleaned someone’s fireplace.

The results… even better than if you just used it as a cleanser. Your skin will feel soft and smooth. It will help clear up problem combination to oily areas on your face. Best of all, I noticed smaller pores on my nose from the mask drawing out impurities on my skin. This product will leave your face looking clear and healthy over a couple of uses.

Next time you are walking past a Lush store guys, pop in and have a play with it.

My visit to Jurlique HQ in Sydney concludes the Herbal Recovery Advance Serum trial.

You may have seen some of my past blog posts that I was lucky enough to be selected as part of Jurlique’s first-ever global advocacy team.  I was selected to test their latest innovative Herbal Recovery Advance Serum, a natural advancement on their best-selling Herbal Recovery Gel.

The Herbal Recovery is a must have product with a cult following that is loved by thousands of women (and men) worldwide.

The exciting aspect of this trial for me was that there were only 50 pre-launch Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum bottles available globally, and I was selected to be part of this exclusive trial.

Reception area had Jurlique’s range of products on display.

As with any trial, I was sent the product with detailed instructions on how to use it, plus I was tasked to complete weekly surveys to track my progression while testing the product to record results over a four-week period.

What was more exciting was the part that at the end of the trial: Jurlique extended an invitation to those partaking in Sydney to come into their head office and film an interview recapping our experiences using the Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum.

What had me buzzing was that I have never been filmed in front of a camera before, so naturally I was nervous as all hell, yet still really excited. I had no idea what to expect; I kept internalising a series of questions and kept asking myself:

“Do I need to dress up? Should I wear my usual face of makeup? Would I be any good? What happens if they don’t like me?”

As soon as I walked in, all those questions and fears that had been churning in my head disappeared… except for one… “Should I have worn makeup?”…

I can honestly say – “Girl, I haven’t worn makeup in the past 4 weeks because of Jurlique’s Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum. My skin is looking amazing and RUNWAY READY, right out of bed at 6am in the morning.

The team at Jurlique were super nice and absolutely amazing to work with. I had so much fun doing the filming that time flew by and I was done before I knew it. It also got me thinking how much fun it would be to start up my own YouTube channel… Let me know below in the comments box

I Have used countless face exfoliators over the years and never been really happy. I am looking for one that is going to really get though my beard, Lift up those hairs and help rejuvenate and soften dull, dry skin and also remove dead skin cells. BIG WEEK of Beauty Haul!!

Revlon Counter at David Jones

Hey there,

Headed out today with my mum for some makeup shopping to pick up some Revlon ColorStay items from the deals i listed in my ‘BIG WEEK Beauty deals’ post on April 16th.

I was good this time and managed to stick to my list of what items i wanted to get and cash in on some of the awesome deals.

From Priceline i got 2 new colorstay foundations, the new Revlon Colorstay foundation with the pump and higher SPF in combination/oily skin (shade 110 Ivory) and the Revlon Colorstay foundation whipped in shade 150 Buff Chamois. Offer they had was 2 for $45.00, which was good as the colorstay foundations RRP is $34.95.

Also from Priceline i pick up some glitter nail polish from Models Prefer, i cant help myself when it comes to glitter or anything that sparkels.. 30% off the entire range!!

Last thing from Priceline was a Bourjois Sweet Kiss Lipstick in shade 41 Beige elegant, I got this for $10 on sale from $26.00. It looked like a prefect fit and add to my never ending and never complete hunt for nude lipsticks, which i think no one should leave the house with bare lips, just like you would never leave the house naked!

From BIG W i managed to get the new Cover Girl outlast stay brilliant nail gloss in some ok colours, my local BIG W had like 3 colours to choose from…. (not a happy makeup camper) so i went a little further to my next nearest BIG W and they had much better colour rang to pick from. So i got colour 240 and 120. They are $3 each during the sale, normally $6.72.

Last of all…….. With everything i picked up today i was able to get the FREE gift from Priceline (today was the last day for the gift and i got the last one too)

Now it is missing a few items cause i shared it with my mum, she only took some nail products and the bag it came in.
